New Life email: June 12, 2020

Dear New Life Family!

Please be aware of these Community Events this weekend:

* A few Haverhill High School students have put together a "Black Lives Matter" protest march on Saturday June 13. This is billed as peaceful march and will begin at Trinity Stadium and proceed to GAR Park. There will be some speakers according to the article in the Eagletribune. Meet time is 12:30pm at the stadium parking lot off Lincoln Ave. It is informal and there should be representatives from local civic groups and churches. This is not a Christian themed event. (Although there is some confusion, we believe this is not affiliated with the national organization of Back Lives Matter.)

* "Boston Pray" June 14, 2:30-3:30 at the Parkman Grandstand Boston Common. Sponsored by the Ben Watson and the Watson One More Organization. All Boston area Christians are invited to come and pray.

"Solemn Assembly" of all local Christian pastors, leaders and churches in the Haverhill community to pray for our City and our Nation. The gathering will be here at the New Life Christian Assembly of God parking lot, Thursday, June 18 at 7pm. The New Life family is encouraged to attend. Parking will be in our lower lot and we will proceed to another area of the lot to pray outside. In case of rain we will enter the sanctuary. Please bring a mask.

As always please keep these events in your prayers. Ask the Lord to heal our land with Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pray that in all things Jesus will be exalted.

All For Jesus,

Pastor Rick and Pamela

PS. Please keep Jesus Ruiz' sister in prayer (Miriam) who is critical care in Manchester with several serious health issues.

“'Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?'

Jesus replied:  ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.'” Matthew 22:36-40
