Accountabillty

FACEBOOK POST, December 6, 2022….From Pastor Rick.

ACCOUNTABILITY IS NOT A BAD WORD. In Christian Ministry it is imperative for pastors, leaders, board members, ministry heads to be held accountable for what they say, what they do, and for who they are publically and privately. In the Pentecostal branch of the Church when someone "gives a word" to someone and it does not bear witness with the pastor or leaders or the person receiving it and is addressed, it should be heeded and acccepted as a mistake and apologized for. Other pastors from other churches should be supportive of that decision. Additionally when someone is "called into ministry" there should be an understanding that until these matters are resolved, there should be no "sending out". Unfulfilled "words", whether to an individual or to a community must be rectified before moving forward. It is a fearful thought that new pastors are heading up new churches with an unresolved history of hurt, abuses, and rebellion. It is time, in these "last days" for men and women of God to hold fast to the Biblical standard of accountability and ask the tough questions, have the face to face meetings, and respect and honor the elders of the church. Sin thrives where there is no accountability.
